23rd Joint Seminar on European Integration Processes for Diplomats from Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe
The seminar was established in 1998. Over the past two decades more than 600 young diplomats from Central, Eastern and South-East Europe have benefitted.
European diplomacy has evolved, from classic State representation to the proactive, collaborative management of interests. Likewise, the role of European diplomats today requires a different set of knowledge and skills, to deal with multitude of fields: peace, security, climate, health, trade, human rights, environment, development and technology. No single nation State can successfully deal with any of those issues, but Europe can.
Young and mid-career diplomats need support in their daily dealing with these “big ticket items”. In order to enhance their skills the Diplomatic Academy of the Croatian Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the German Hanns-Seidel-Foundation organize Seminar on European Integration Processes City of Dubrovnik.
